HearU Nebraska provides hearing aids to children ages 0-18 with priority to newly identified children ages 0-3.

Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank
Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank provides one refurbished BTE hearing aid to individuals age 65 or older. A second hearing aid can be purchased for $100. Earmolds are dispensed through provider and billed directly to patient. 

 

Lions Hearing Aid Bank
​Lions Hearing Aid Bank provides refurbished monaural or binaural BTE hearing aids to individuals 19-64 years of age. Earmolds are dispensed through provider and should be billed directly to patient. Under special circumstances, and with prior approval, Lions Club may be able to assist with out-of-pocket expenses. 
 

 


 

Steps Needed to Receive a Hearing Aid

  1. Request an application from Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NCDHH), or print one off from the Nebraska Hearing Aid Banks Website
  2. Complete application and return to NCDHH Attn: Hearing Aid Bank Coordinator (4600 Valley Rd. Ste. 420 Lincoln, NE 68510).
  3. An approval or denial letter will be mailed. If approved, this letter will include additional instructions on how to receive your hearing aid.
