As part of NCDHH’s Deaf Awareness Month 2026 activities, join Behavioral Health Liaison Sakura Yodogawa-Campbell for a community presentation focused on mental health, self-care, and accessing behavioral health services.
Finding behavioral health care that meets your needs can be challenging, especially when communication access and accessibility are part of the equation. This presentation is designed for Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and DeafPlus individuals who want to learn more about behavioral health, available resources, and advocating for access to services.
Participants will learn about:
- Mental health and the importance of self-care
- Finding and accessing behavioral health services
- Communication access in behavioral health settings
- Advocating for your communication and accessibility needs
- Behavioral health resources and where to find additional support
