As part of NCDHH’s Deaf Awareness Month 2026 activities, join Education, Youth & Family Liaison Mike Brummer for a virtual presentation specifically for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

What comes after high school? Whether you are thinking about college, employment, training, or other plans for your future, this presentation will focus on preparing for the transition and knowing how to advocate for the communication access and resources you need along the way.

Students will learn about:

  • NCDHH services and resources
  • Preparing for the transition after high school
  • Communication access in college, the workplace, and other settings
  • Building self-advocacy skills
  • Resources available to support your next steps
