Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Be prepared before an emergency happens.

NCDHH, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, and the Hearing Loss Association of America’s Lincoln, NE Support Group are partnering to offer an Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing Nebraskans.

Attendees will learn practical information and resources related to:

  • Neighborhood Watch & Community Safety — Jason Hellmuth, Community Services Officer, Lincoln Police Department
  • Weather Warnings & Emergency Preparedness — Chris Franks, National Weather Service
  • Text-to-911 — Jessica Loos, Lincoln 911 Dispatch
  • Personal Preparedness & Resources — Harry Heafer, HLAA – Lincoln, NE Support Group, and Gina Eigenberger, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Emergency Response Coordinator
