Sheena McFeely will present on the power of media and why now is the time for us to take a proactive appropach in order to mold a better tomorrow for our youth.
Saturday, June 3 9:00-11:30am Workshop (free childcare provided)
Sheena McFeely will present on the importance of identity and how it is developed through various forms ranging from literacy to Deaf role models to media to peers.
As the author of Shay & Ivy: Beyond the Kingdom, Sheena will demonstrate how to bring literacy alive through ASL with a live audience of children.
Shay and Ivy book signing and a photo session will follow.
